Stage Combat Choreography

Reflection                                                                        22/11/2016

Ward is going to be Caroline. Caroline is a very angry person and she gets angry easily. She doesn't like the gift Sophia gives her because it is the wrong size it is 10 sizes bigger. She thinks that Sophia thinks that she is fat.
I am going to be Sophia. Sophia is a person that doesn't get angry easily. She buys a birthday gift that is 10 times better than her actual size, she gets beaten up.
I think I might forget a line or do an action wrong. But other than that I think it will be good.

In this stage choreography, I could have memorized my actions, but I did memorize the lines. I think we can improve on our reactions becasue it needs to look more realistic. We could have included more lines between the actions so taht we can know when we are going to do the action. In the unit I could have done stage slaps better because I forgot to do the sound a few times. In drama this term i learned how to act melodramatic and do stage combat. In the melodrama unit we learned how to act over dramatic and exaggerate everything. In the stage combat unit we learned how to make fights scenes without hurting anyone.

Stage Slap

Stage Slap                                                                        01/11/2016

Reflection:

We had a good structure of the arguement but Tesha did not make clear signs of when she was going to satge slap. We built up tension as the arguement went on. The slap was so sudden so I could not prepare but I tried to act like she slapped me even thought it was a slow reaction and I could not make the slap sound. I think it was not successful because of the delayed reaction I made and the sudden slap, it was very sudden. I learned that we have to practice slowly first and then do it. We also need to keep a safe distance between our partner and other people and objects so we will be save if someone falls or has to acts like falling etc. We also have to take jewelery, watches, things in pockets etc. for safety. we could improve the performance by doing the reaction on time and making the slap on the right time. We can also do a kind of movement that shows that she is going to say or she can say the last word she is going to say. I think that we did good in the building tension part and the arguement but we could improve on the timing of the slap.

Refection on melodrama unit

1)I think I developed my exaggerating because in melodrama you have to over exaggerate everything so it can be a melodramatic movie.
2)My greatest success in this unit was the silent movie because I did the best exaggeration I can.
3)For the silent movie I think each of the group members contributed on acting, over exaggerating and all of us helped film the film because we had no cameraman. In the melodramatic twisted remake film I think that everyone did what they are suppose to except Adam because he did come while we were filming but everyone else acted well and Omar was doing the shooting I think that was good too.
4)Yes television/film  can change the world because it can change your opinions by acting, they mainly act realistically so it looks like it is real life and it might include opposite opinions as you so after  you see it it changes.

5)I think that we had some people laughing in some points which is good because that was kind of expected and I expected good reaction to it and it is good and shows that they like it.

6)I think I could use my newly developed skills in other units in drama if I need to and it is also helpful to acting and making the audience laugh as it is important in melodrama.

Peer assesment silent movie

Our group:Substantial because we could have exaggerated more it would be more descriptive
Birthday surprise: I think they did excellent but they could have put Zaid on the video. Animal could have exaggerated more. But other than that I think it was well exaggerated.
Strapped on to the rails: I  think everyone in the group should have exaggerated more. I think it is Substantial because they weren't exaggerated
Oliver sudden's rescue- Akhshan Maggie Anushka and Variable : I think they exaggerated well so I think they did excellent because they exaggerated when the maiden was captured
How to find your maiden Kiara Rania Sam Hyeonho: I think it is excellent because they all exaggerated well but Hyeonho could have exaggerated more.
Bob and Could Save the day Monica Jenna Basil Either: I think it was excellent because it was funny and well exaggerated but Monica could have actually tied Jenna's hand and Jenna could have exaggerated.

She is the old parent because she rich so she is trying to take her money from the ground after it has fallen. She is also has a blanket in her back because she is feels cold because of the sickness that is due to her age. Also she looks like the old parent because of her costume.

The Maiden
She is the maiden because of the costume and because she is sad, and looks innocent. She also looks like she is saying "why are you so evil." to the villian.
